Underdog Marathon - Monty's Dog Beach Crikvenica

Started in 2017 and held every year in August, the Underdog marathon is a great opportunity for dog and owner duos to compete in this amateur aquathlon. Organised by Monty’s Dog Beach- the creator of dog experiences in Crikvenica and on the island of Rab, and under the auspices of the City of Crikvenica, the County Port Authority Crikvenica, the Tourist Board of Crikvenica and the Kvarner County Tourism Office this year’s marathon will take place on August 20th in Crikvenica at Monty’s Dog Beach.
The race is scheduled to start at 7pm.
Participants need to be able to run a short distance along the pier and swim approximately 160m to complete the race. They must be 15 or older and can use floats for their dogs. Winners and runners up may look forward to some exciting prizes, first place wins a weekend in the pet friendly apartment Anubis in Crikvenica
Following the main race smaller dog beer drinking and ice-cream eating competitions will be held for dogs, too!
